The Cushing High School slow-pitch softball team made plans to open its 2016 season Thursday night at Bristow.
Mother Nature had other plans.
Wet conditions — it rained Tuesday and Wednesday in Bristow — meant the three-way between the host Lady Pirates, Cushing’s Lady Tigers and the Morris Lady Eagles was on hold.
It also means Cushing will not kick off its season until after spring break.
The Lady Tigers on March 21 join Bristow and Depew for a three-way at Depew. Cushing and Bristow will play at 5 p.m.
The home opener for CHS will be March 22 when the Tigers host Beggs and Blackwell.
