Perkins resident Linda Sue Wikel, formerly of Yale, died Oct. 17, 2016 — her 65th birthday — in Oklahoma City.
Graveside service under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Yale will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Lawson Cemetery, Yale.
Linda was born Oct. 17, 1951 in Yale to Wesley Joe and Naomi Agnes Blackwell Wikel. She grew up in Yale and graduated in 1970 from Yale High School. Her family lived in Stillwater and, later, Perkins.
Linda loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved quilting and cooking their Thanksgiving dinners.
Linda also enjoyed Dr. Pepper and smoking. She was a talented seamstress all of her life.
Linda is survived by her sons, Paul Sisco and wife Holly of Dover, Shane Sisco and wife Crystal of Yale, and Justin Doty and wife Marcee of Yale; daughter Shelly Glasby of Perkins; mother Naomi Agnes Wikel of Yale; brothers Cecil Wikel and wife Kay of Stroud, and Bert Wikel and wife Wanda of Yale; sisters Phyllis Glasby and husband George of Yale, Nancy Moore and husband Charlie of Yale, Jannie Citchenberger of Yale, and Karen Allen of Ponca City; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Wikel, and brother, Dale Wikel.
