Effie Marie Weaver, a longtime Jennings resident, died Jan. 22, 2017. She was 86.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Jennings. The Rev. Mark Compton will officiate.
Burial will be in Lawson Cemetery, Yale. 
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
Effie was born Dec. 4, 1930 in Paden to William Franklin and Jewel Owen Tucker. She attended and graduated in 1948 from Bristow High School.
She married Doyle Weaver. They had three children.
Effie worked as a nurse’s aide for many years at the Cushing hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren: reading and going to garage sales. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and taking orders from the drill sergeant.
Effie is survived by one daughter, Karen Blackford and husband Steve; two brothers, Joe Blackford and Otis Blackford; seven grandsons; two granddaughters and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Weaver; a son, Doyle Wayne Weaver; a daughter, Linda Crisel; a granddaughter, Alicia Carter; and two grandsons.
