Darrell Floyd, retired from the Tulsa Postal Service, died Sept. 14, 2016 at his home in Sapulpa. He was 67.
His funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the memorial chapel at Davis Funeral Home in Cushing. The Rev. Chuck Burton will officiate.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Darrell, son of the late John W. Floyd and Vivian Burdick Floyd, was born Sept. 5, 1949 in Yale. He was raised and educated in New Mexico and Oklahoma and graduated from McLain High School in Tulsa.
Darrell served in the U.S. Air Force. He received an honorable discharge in 1974.
On Nov. 24, 1970, he married Esther Naud. They had two children.
On Nov. 5, 2000, Darrell retired from the Tulsa Postal Service. He worked there more than 31 years.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, tubing, listening to music and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Esther, of the home; son, Josh Floyd and wife Christina of Tulsa; daughter, Sommer Bentley and husband Nathan of Sapulpa; five grandchildren, Kailoni Bentley, Kadence Bentley, Landon Floyd, Mason Floyd and Kennedi Floyd; one brother, Tom Floyd; two sisters, Sylvia Dewitt and Kathy Haskin; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his siblings, Sam Floyd, Paul Floyd, Gary Floyd and Irma Yother.
Services were under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home.
